2. Visiting this website
When you visit this website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system, referrer) in server log files. This serves the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files are deleted after a short time unless they are needed to investigate security incidents.
3. No cookies, no tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising services or social media plugins. Fonts and icons are loaded from our own server; no data is transferred to third parties such as Google. Your language choice is only stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so that the website appears in your language on your next visit; this is necessary for the function you requested.
4. Contact by e-mail
If you write to us by e-mail, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them as soon as they are no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Data processing in the SALTYDATA software
- Your vehicle and customer data is stored locally on your PC and is not transferred to us.
- Licence: To check and manage your subscription, the software transmits a random installation ID, an anonymised device identifier (hash, no conclusions about your person), the PC time, the number of vehicles in stock as well as your licence and invoice data to our server (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The device identifier and time are used to prevent misuse of a subscription on several computers (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
- Payment: Subscriptions are processed by the payment provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland). Stripe does not pass payment data on to us.
- AI recognition of vehicle documents: If you use this function, a reduced copy of the photo is sent encrypted via our server to the AI service xAI (USA), analysed and not stored. The function can be switched off in the settings; recognition then takes place locally only.
- Phone upload: Photos you send from your phone via QR code are forwarded encrypted via our server to your software and deleted afterwards.
- voziti.eu: If you connect your voziti.eu account, the software transmits the vehicle data you choose to voziti.eu.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
